Local business creates $17,000 in discounts to Cancer Survivors
CRANBERRY TWP, PA April 22 It was only a day or so after her mammogram that Beth vividly remembers answering that worrisome call. ‘They were very serious, telling me I needed to go to McGee Women’s Hospital in the next 24 hours. I needed to have a follow-up test to verify if the findings were benign or what could possibly be a rare, extremely aggressive type of breast cancer. Fortunately, it was proven to be an infection, severe but treatable. The emotional rollercoaster ride ended well for Beth personally; however two years later this disease struck not Beth, but her best friend, Pauline.
